One baby, one tree – a good start in life.
Copenhagen Fertility Center now plants one tree per baby we helped make at the clinic. In 2019, we helped make 750 babies, which is why we are now planting 750 trees in collaboration with TroFaCo and the local farmers in Uganda whom they collaborate with. We will post pictures of the trees and how they are doing every year.
Although the 750 trees are estimated to bind 2250 tonnes of CO2 over the next 20 years, it is still only a drop in the ocean compared to what a new person in a country like Denmark will emit during his or her lifetime. But starting life by having someone plant the first tree for you is s a good start, and we hope it will serve as inspiration for the future.
