Human Papilloma virus may spoil human sperm and fertility?

Human papilloma virus may have an impact on male fertility.

New interesting study.

Human Papilloma virus is a virus found in the genital area and which can cause cervical cancer in the woman. Therefore, one tries to vaccinate all women in Denmark in order to eradicate this cancer form. It also turns out that boys can have viruses and transmit them as a sexually transmitted infection.

In boys, it can give rise to intestinal cancer, penile cancer and oral cavity cancer. Therefore, many today also recommend that boys should be vaccinated to avoid these cancers and, moreover, avoid infecting girls with this virus.

Now, a large study has shown that men with poor sperm quality often (by 15%) have large amounts of this virus in their seminal fluid. They have also shown that the sperm genetic material, the chromosomes, can be destroyed by this virus and also impair sperm motility

It is therefore interesting to examine men with low sperm quality for this virus and if they have it may offer them vaccination.

Maybe a vaccination can help these men with their poor sperm quality.

“An interesting idea that one should look into that vaccination can improve some men’s fertility”
