Hello Dr.LindenbergMy husband and I are both at the moment 39 years old and after 2 failed IVFs a couple of years ago (last one August 2007)we reconsidered whether we wanted to go through the "ordeal" and expense of a 3 or even 4th try for a baby. I have at the moment what my last doctors considered a high FSH (9.2) at day 3 and my husband low motility and morfology although good sperm count. The doctors did not know why the IVF failed in those 2 ocassions but obviously it drained our hopes. They wanted us to try again but neither our aims nor pockets where up to it (Eur 4500 per Ivf). I am now considering again trying. As my husband is a bit reluctant of the whole process of IVF, will it be naive to start again with an insemination or....!?Many thanks Martha

I do not think that a FSH of 9,2 is high. And your chances for having a baby by insemination might be acceptable. However this is highly dependent on your previous medical history. I.e. have you already been through several inseminations before the IVF treatment ?, are your tubes open and the exact description of your husband´s sperm morphology and motility. I will be more than willing to look through you medical record for you and evaluate the case better. This will be free of charge. You can also call my secretary and book a free telephone conssultation with me.

Great concern has been raised about fertility tourism because of the uncertainty of the quality in fertility clinic´s abroad. The EU commission issued a law in 2007 , "the EU tissue directive", which both Denmark and UK has implemented to ensure a high and acceptable quality in both countries fertility treatments.
